Hello,Due to the below 50 degree temperatures for today, we will NOT be meeting at the Bee Yard today.

Don’t forget about the General Meeting tomorrow at Franklin Park Conservatory.  Doors open at 6:30, meeting begins at 7:00.  The program is the final presentations by the 2021 Youth Scholarship students.

Saturday, April 23, 1:00 p.m. is the opportunity to help at the Easton Apiary, 3850 Stelzer Road, 43219.  The weather is scheduled to be dry and 80 degrees.  That will be perfect for what is planned.

The plan is to:

1.  Pull off feeders on overwintered hives, add supers to them.

2.  Feed the new bees at Easton.

3.  Install a 5 frame hive into an 8 frame hive.

4.  Have help to paint 2 complete hives for the Franklin Park Conservatory Apiary since it can’t be done on Tuesday, April 19 due to temperatures.

Sunday, April 24, 12:00 p.m. at Franklin Park Conservatory Apiary will be the last chance to observe bees being installed into hives.  The Apiary is west of the last parking area at the Conservatory.  Drive until you have to stop.

Thank you for your help and understanding.
