The American flag stitched on the left sleve or collar, if you wish. They also supply OSBA apparel and carry license plate frames, coffe mugs, travel mugs, and key chains printed with the OSBA logo.

Please feel free to give them a call at 800-660-9707, or email them at walnuthillsp@earthlink.net to order your shirt.

Member benefits

COBA now owns a small extractor which is available at the Bee yard for members to use. Rules including cleaning up after the extracting is finished. This extractor is only three frames and hand operated. It is not intended for the beekeeper with a lot of honey to extract. If you would like to borrow it, check with Joy Voorhees at 256-5626. Several members who live close to the bee yard will have the combination for the key to open the storage shed where the extractor is located. It is not to be removed from the building. The building needs to be locked to protect what we own in it.

Pat Chambers, co-chair education committee, has our observation hive available to members. Contact her at 614-891-6302 or email: jimpat28@sbcglobal.net should you need to borrow it. COBA would like to encourage members to give bee talks and having honey bees in an observation hive is a great way to get the attention of the public.

The COBA Queen Project Queen Project

Queen Project logo. COBA is now involved in trying to produce better queen stock for area beekeepers. Five lines of queens are being grafted this year by Dana Stahlman. Each queen raised is being marked with one of five colors and each is numbered. The only authorized seller of these special queens from outstanding stock is Barry Conrad. Contact him at: barry@hiveandhoney.com if you are interested in one. All of these queens are guaranteed against failure, when implemented. Should any of these queens not measure up to what a beekeeper expects of them, the queens will be replaced free. The successful introduction of the queen into the hive is the responsibility of the beekeeper. All beekeepers buying one of these queens becomes a registered owner and information on the queens hopefully will be provided back to COBA.
